After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Banking & Finance and an MBA, Jim served as an officer in the Air Force from 1966 – 1971. Following his military service, he joined Dean Witter as a stockbroker in San Francisco before transferring to Salt Lake City in 1973. Jim and his wife Tina moved to Park City in 1976 and he continued his career with Dean Witter until beginning his real estate career with Gump & Ayres in 1981, and then with Coleman Land Company until starting his own company in 1987. In 1995 Jim and his partners founded Lewis, Wolcott & Dornbush Real Estate which grew into Park City’s second largest real estate brokerage and was sold to Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008. During those years, Jim was a partner in a number of Park City developments including the 126 home Snyder’s Mill community as well as condominium development in Salt Lake City including the Broadway Lofts and Dakota Lofts projects. After completing his transition obligations with Sotheby’s, Jim joined Prudential Utah Properties which became Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Utah Properties. Jim has served as a director of the Park City Board of Realtors and is a past Realtor of the Year and a recipient of the Board’s Directors Award. Jim and Tina raised two daughters in Park City and have been active in many community, school, and sports programs in Park City and Salt Lake City.
